The photographic series Native is an investigation into the endemic nature of certain plant forms, into the meaning of "spontaneity" as an authentic response to a specific space.

For the Native series the form of a portrait against a neutral background was chosen.
This shooting technique aims to capture the aesthetic and expressive qualities of the subject but, at the same time, a portrait always presents the viewer with questions: Who is this creature? Where does it come from? What is its story?
To be 'native' is to carry within oneself the origins, to have been there from the very first moment. In the same way, wild herbs testify to the sense of an unbreakable bond with a specific area of the earth.
